Account Deletion

LynCare, LLC · How to delete your LynCare account and what happens to your data

This page explains how to request deletion of your LynCare account and the data associated with it, what data we delete, and what data we are required to keep for the protection of other users in your care circle.

How to delete your account

You can delete your LynCare account directly from within the app:

  1. Open the LynCare app on your device
  2. Sign in to your account
  3. Tap the Settings tab in the bottom-right corner (labeled Admin if you're a Care Manager or admin)
  4. Scroll to the Danger Zone section
  5. Tap Remove Account
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm

If you are unable to access the app or have any difficulty with the in-app deletion process, you can request account deletion by emailing support@lyncare.net from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

Important: Care Manager accounts. If you are the Care Manager for a care circle, you must either designate a backup Care Manager or close your care circle before your account can be deleted. The app will guide you through this process.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data tied specifically to you as an individual is removed:

What data is retained

LynCare is a health and care coordination application. Records you contributed to a care circle — such as medication administration logs, care notes, shift records, and tasks completed — are part of the participant's medical history. These records are not deleted when you delete your account.

This retention is necessary for several reasons:

What happens if you are the participant

If you are the participant being cared for and you delete your account, your care circle is closed. The records remain in our system as outlined above, but the circle itself is no longer active. Other members of your circle will be notified that the circle has been closed.

Retention timeline

Records retained after account deletion are kept for the duration required by applicable law and the operating standards of self-directed Medicaid programs. Generally, this is at least six years from the date of the record, though specific requirements vary by jurisdiction and program.

If you have questions about a specific record or wish to inquire about its retention, please contact privacy@lyncare.net.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the laws of your state, you may have additional rights regarding your data, including the right to access, correct, or in some circumstances delete certain personal information. You can exercise these rights by emailing privacy@lyncare.net.

For more information about how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.
