Released versions
What's new in each LynCare release. We ship often and keep the notes in plain language.
v1.5.0LatestJuly 9, 2026
- Password managers now work at sign-in — iCloud Keychain, Google Password Manager, 1Password and others can fill your saved LynCare login and offer to save a new one.
- Stronger protection against password guessing — after several failed attempts, sign-in pauses briefly and offers a one-tap password reset, and a rate-limited sign-in now says so instead of showing "wrong password."
- Account recovery for Apple sign-ins with no email — if Apple didn't share an email, you can add one so you're able to recover your account and reset your PIN.
- A simpler way to start a care circle — a guided, step-by-step setup, and you can invite the participant into the app any time after the circle is created.
- Fixes & polish — Participant-Care Managers can open Manage Shift Schedule, a note on the calendar explains its sync window, an interrupted sign-up can be finished with one tap, and error messages are clearer.
Earlier releases
v1.4.0July 7, 2026
- Medication reminders — when you're clocked in, LynCare now rings you at each scheduled medication time with a full-screen reminder of the medications due, so a dose isn't missed or left unrecorded. Snooze it for 10 minutes or stop once it's logged; it keeps reminding — even with the app closed — until the dose is recorded, and only rings while you're on shift. Turn it on or off in Settings → Notifications.
- A smoother edge-to-edge look on the newest Android devices.
- Sign-in and account-recovery reliability improvements.
v1.2.2July 4, 2026
- Actions that used to fail silently now tell you — sending a password-reset or verification email, revoking an invite, leaving a care circle, saving or deleting a calendar event, tapping "I Need Help," and approving a Care-Manager takeover now show an error if they don't go through, instead of falsely reporting success.
- Safer medications — prevented a duplicate dose from a double-tap or a two-person hand-off, override approvals now ask you to confirm first, and as-needed "given today" counts use the participant's timezone.
- Fewer crashes — fixed a crash computing avatar initials on unusual names, plus several "closed the screen mid-action" edge cases (calendar edits, transfers, overrides).
- Polish — text fields now auto-capitalize as you type, Client Info always reflects the current circle, shift history reports load errors instead of spinning, and background data listeners are leaner.
v1.2.1June 29, 2026
- Shared tablets no longer get stuck signing you out — on a kiosk tablet the app could trap you in a loop, logging you out every time the screen woke and making you re-enter your PIN and re-pick your shift over and over. Signing in with your PIN now keeps you signed in as expected. Personal phones were never affected.
v1.2.0June 27, 2026
- Face ID and fingerprint unlock no longer sign you out — a cancelled, failed, or unavailable unlock now just offers "try again" or "Sign in with password" instead of logging you out, and the prompt only appears when you return to the app, not while leaving it.
- Shared tablets are easier to sign in to — you can get back to the list of names after choosing "Sign in another way," and "Forgot PIN? Reset it" works again on the lock screen.
- More helpful bug reports — opting to include diagnostics now captures a fuller, still-anonymous picture of your device and app state, with no names, emails, or care records.
v1.1.0June 26, 2026
- Bug reports can include a diagnostic log — an opt-in attaches recent app activity and your device details so we can fix issues faster, with no medical data, names, or message contents.
- A momentary sign-in hiccup no longer blocks the welcome screen — the app refreshes and retries automatically.
- Better behind-the-scenes diagnostics for tracking down issues like surprise sign-outs — technical data only, never your records.
v1.0.0June 25, 2026
- LynCare is public — anyone can start a care circle, no invite code needed.
- Free during early access, with clean care-circle activation and Care-Manager transfer flows.
- A standard, versioned Terms & Privacy agreement at first launch.
- Crash reporting and Sign-in-with-Apple fixes, plus a 13-hour re-login on shared tablets only.
v0.9.0June 24, 2026
- A real Profile screen — see and change your name, role, email, phone, and password.
- Account recovery options — link Google, Apple, and email sign-in, and reset a forgotten shared-tablet PIN.
- Account emails deliver reliably again (verification, password reset, email change), through LynCare's own branded email.
- Medication dose timers count down correctly, and the team message board is organized into Pinned and Recent.
v0.8.0June 20, 2026
- Guided in-app tutorials — a step-by-step walkthrough of the whole caregiver shift, the medication override flow, and a tour of everything a manager runs.
- Sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint — plus a shared-tablet kiosk mode where each caregiver signs in by name and PIN, so every record lands under the right person.
- Restricted notes and team messages are protected on the server, not just hidden in the app — private content lives in a separate, access-controlled record.
- Care Manager handoffs and takeovers complete reliably, with role changes enforced server-side.
v0.7.2June 13, 2026
- Accurate "missed" doses — a scheduled dose is marked missed only when it genuinely is, in the participant's own time zone; the app and the server now agree exactly.
- No more stacked-up override requests, and a dose can't be double-recorded by a duplicate tap or two managers at once.
- The medication record is enforced on the server — only an Admin can approve an early dose, and every dose is recorded under whoever gave it.
v0.7.1June 11, 2026
- Build Export — package a participant's records into Excel, CSV, and a print-ready clinical PDF, built for Medicaid reassessments and records requests.
- Short ID codes for every participant and account, so a record always ties back to the right person.
- Notes save instantly, even on a bad connection, with a cloud glyph that flips to a check once a note is safely synced.
v0.6.8May 30, 2026
- Browse past days on the eMAR with a date picker, and overdue doses auto-clear once genuinely missed.
- Low-supply refill alerts — the app watches medication supply and pings the Care Manager before a med runs out.
- Times always match your 12-/24-hour setting across the whole app, switchable instantly.
v0.6.7May 21, 2026
- A smarter "Create a Care Circle" form — it fills in your name automatically and stops asking for details that the participant will enter themselves.
v0.6.5May 8, 2026
- Family-directed care mode — run a circle on behalf of a participant who can't use a phone.
- Lock-screen privacy — notifications show only a category, never medication names or medical details.
- Access codes and an in-app feedback form, plus the refreshed watercolor branding.
v0.6.4April 23, 2026
- Care-circle lifecycle — close a circle, remove an account, and hand off a Care Manager role, each with a clear preview of what happens.
- Sign in with Apple alongside Google.
- Analytics removed — the app collects no analytics, because health information deserves stronger privacy defaults.
LynCare is free during early access — on iPhone and Android. Get the app or visit support.
